10.20.2011– Quality Plumbing Services Inc. will host its Annual Food Drive beginning October 15, 2011.
We are proud to combine our efforts with The Salvation Army and their program, Erase Hunger in Chicago. All of the items collected will be donated to The Salvation Army to distribute to the local food pantries throughout the Chicagoland area.
If one donates a minimum of ten (10) nonperishable items of food, Quality Plumbing will give a complimentary $25.00 off any service work performed.
Did you know that there are more than 2 million people in the six-county Chicago area who are suffering from hunger? This problem is not limited to the homeless. Approximately 61% of working families are poor and cannot afford food for themselves and their children.
The Salvation Army was founded in England in 1865 by William Booth. It made its way to the United States and in 1879 the first meeting of The Salvation Army was held in Philadelphia. The Salvation Army provides extensive assistance to children, adults and seniors including, but not limited to, emergency financial assistance; grocery assistance through food pantries; educational and recreational programs for children, adults and seniors; leadership training and character development for youth; day camps; summer camps; fellowship and much more.
Quality Plumbing Services (www.qualityplumbingchicago.com) is pleased to continue its involvement in the community by sponsoring its Annual Food Drive with all proceeds benefiting The Salvation Army. Quality Plumbing Services takes great pride in giving back to our communities in every way we can.
